Information

To avoid unpleasant surprises, we hereby provide a number of information that is useful/necessary to know:

  • Swimming lessons are not given during most primary school holidays and on official holidays.
  • Payment is made per period from diploma to diploma date and is collected by direct debit. You must complete the authorization form in full, sign it and return it to us as soon as possible. The amount to be written off is determined by the number of lessons during the relevant period. The compensation for the diploma party will also be collected automatically.
  • It is difficult to estimate how long your child's education will take. Starting age, starting level, the regularity with which your child swims and your child's development are all factors that play a role. On average, 5-year-old children need 72 hours to learn to swim. Converted (with 45 minutes per week) this is almost 20 months. Please note; this is an average. So there are children who do this faster and children who do this slower.
  • In the event of absence due to, for example, illness for three weeks or longer, the tuition fee will be deducted from the third week of the next period, provided this has been reported in time. If your child stops swimming lessons before the end of the current period, you must pay for the entire period. Tuition fees are not refundable.
  • If you would like to swim a lap in the recreational area during the lesson, you can do so. You must then purchase a ticket at the counter.
  • To make sure the lessons are going smoothly, there is unfortunately little time to answer questions, just before, during and after class. We ask for your understanding. For information and/or consultation you can always call Serge Versteegh (06-26516673).

  • Swimming school Het Kikkertje uses the Gedragscode ZwembrancheThis code of conduct contains rules of conduct in swimming pools that both parents and employees can rely on, with the aim of protecting all people involved. We would like to draw your attention to the availability of a national reporting point for (sexual) inappropriate behavior. More information about this can be found on the website NOC*NSF.

House rules Zuiderbad

At the request of the Zuiderbad, we would like to draw your attention to their 'house rules':

  • You pass the cash register upon presentation of your valid season ticket. You walk up on the left, via the corridor behind the changing cabins along the swimming pool. The changing cabins downstairs are intended for recreational use. You can change your child(ren) upstairs in the communal changing rooms.
  • Stay upstairs and wait until one of our swimming teachers comes to pick up the children. They accompany the children to the shower and the swimming pool.
  • During the lesson, wait upstairs on the balcony or the catering terrace. You are not allowed to go around the pool with clothing/shoes on. You can take the lessons from the balcony or catering terrace.
  • After the lesson, the children are accompanied by one of our teachers to the shower and upstairs. Now via the other stairs. Please take care of your child(ren) there.
  • It is not permitted to make recordings (photo/film/sound recording) during the lessons.

Thank you very much for your cooperation!
